It's so lovely, so regal, so peaceful, it just cried out to be painted especially with soft morning light casting gentle shadows through the budding spring trees and across the intricacies of the facade and sprawling porch. It's on a street with other stately old structures, but Bourbon House clearly stands out. It seemed only right to paint it dead headon. I'd like to sit on that porch the better part of a day, maybe rocking and reading or just enjoying the warm spring sun and cooling breeze.
